Strange Chronology, A Whole Lotta Bucket

Let's take a peek in on the strange, chronologically anomalous world of Jimmy Bright and his Secret Legion of Blind Newsies (plus those intrepid young guttersnipes, Street Urchins Local # 353).
Here we find ourselves in the middle of The Adventure of the Red Dust:

Here we have some construction (or destruction?) equipment just laying there on the sidewalk, as seen on Winchester just west of Elston.

Curious Birdy, Putrefaction Guaranteed

A couple of random pics from downtown

Here's a multi-page birthday card I made for a friend of mine I just dug up (heh, heh); Actually this is sort of the "prototype" or whatever - the final version was in color, but I don't have that one (did find a color version of the last page). I guess it's from 1989..

(left click to enlarge, if you dare...)

Oh --- it's supposed to be funny....

Scribbles & Shadows

Was thinking about how when I was in school, I'd doodle away on the margins of my notebook paper. This is the kind of thing I'd draw back then (these drawn on the modern miracle of Post-It notes)...

Hopped on the bus on Saturday to head out to the Marriott O'Hare to check out a memorabilia show. Took these pics on the way

Among those in attendence at the show were some of the stars of one of my favorite movies, FORBIDDEN PLANET. This I quickly scribbled on a P-Note

Walk Through Decrepitude

For me, one of the few things that can make a clown something more than just creepy is to put them in preposterous situations -- the incongruity can be quite amusing (or... nightmarish...)
And what do we have here? Looks like a clown detective... Yes, a clown attempting to solve some hideous crime -- no that's funny!

The rest here were all taken while walking on Elston between Armitage & Fullerton

Gorilla Thumbs, Trains 'n' Cranes

You know, there is absolutely nothing that says "positive attitude" like an ape giving the Thumbs Up sign!
That's why corporations should have their employees wear T-shirts with an image like this (with the company name instead of dots, of course!):
The above cartoon was of course one of those Post-It notes drawn for the amusement of my former co-workers at my old job.

Some Metra shots from Wednesday

Ah, another Post-It from the past -- why, primates did seem seem to run rampant across my work related cartoons back then! The banjo's are a little inside joke that that involved someone's hairstyle and the movie DELIVERANCE.

Blurry Boids, Try Again, and Again...

Here we've got birds. Birds in the modern miracle of blur-o-vision

Ha, Ha -- it's funny because it's true! Eh, maybe not...

Fiend Marketing, Spring of Destruction

The above drawing I did for a cartoon about target marketing:
Wanting to attract a certain under-represented segment of the population, Union One Bank advertised that their personal bankers understood the special needs of FIENDS

Tuesday when I got to work, I found this peculiar scene in progress (I'm not sure I want to know what's going on here...)

A couple of pics from the spring & summer of 2005.
This first one looks like a "Look out behind you!!!" scene from some Sci-Fi/Horror flick

This pic is from last Monday in my neighborhood. Doesn't this look like the perfect beater?
