Textiblah

The other day as I walked south on LaSalle (doin' the job, dontcha know...), there appeared to be a blind person with a seeing-eye dog walking in my direction (not uncommon downtown), so was prepared to maneuver myself so as not to obstruct. As I got closer I found it was a sighted person walking their dog... texting and not looking where they were going.

I thought -- "hmmm" (as I often do). Now, what if in the future, texting on these little communication devices becomes such an addiction for some people, that they'd purchase specially trained dogs to lead them around the busy sidewalks so they wouldn't have to let their attention stray from their all-important texting?
