Whenever some Rock 'n' Roll star passes away, someone says (wistfully) "Now he's in heaven with John, Janis, Jimi, Brian & Jim playin' for the Angels in the greatest band ever...". Of course, these dead rock stars were living a life of debauchery and sin, yet it's assumed they're "up there" instead of "down there", continuing their careers in the great beyond. Does Fame, Celebrity and Notoriety give one a free pass through the Pearly Gates, no matter how you lived your life?
