A doodle on a Post-It...

Which ended up as a background on a Way Too Serious cartoon from some years back.

This WTS was inspired by my irritation with advertisements that attempt to co-op the interest and goodwill generated by some unrelated music, movie, personality, TV show or whatever, for the purpose of pushing some product

Now, I don't hate advertising -- a lot of ads are well done by talented poeple(and sometimes the commercials are better then the shows they sponsor). The above cartoon is really about the hacks (and don't we all love hacks? Without 'em, the rest of us wouldn't have anyone to have contempt for (actually, I think I've got a cartoon on that subject somewhere...))

The cartoon was originally B&W, but I just added some color to see how it would look

We just had the first snowfall this season that really stuck here in Chicago. Not really a lot of snow, but it did get melty, then froze, so made things rather slippery. Took these on the way to work on Monday:
