What is it that makes a person want to become a clown? Is it some in-born inclination to entertain people in some benignly grotesque manner? Is it a desire to be the center of attention yet remain anonymous?

As we can see, Mr. Billups once had a full head of hair -- I theorize that the subconscious realization that he was going bald so terrified him, that he submerged his ego into a Clown persona to hide from the horror of his true, bald self
