Apply All that is Applicable
Another visit to Grodius Inc, where we find there are those who would eagerly apply for a job anywhere, and those worry about losing whatever job they may have...
Oh Rob... that is so cool. In the mid 80's, I was the assistant manager of Willoughby Tower at 8 South Michigan. It's a beautiful building, and has some interesting history.
Shortly before I started working there... there was a fire in the tower. A fireman was in one of the tower elevators, and when the cable snapped was killed. They say .. sometimes late at night.. if you listen very carefully.. you can hear .. the horrifying.. screa.... nah.. I'm just joshing. (Actually.. that was awful of me...I'm hanging my head in shame. It was truly a tragedy.)
Anyhoo, as always.. I love your blog and of course your photos. Thanks for sharing.
Corry, this IS the place to hang one's head in SHAME -- I'm doin' it right now!
I find the old buildings so much more interesting than the new ones (hmmm, I guess the "new" ones probably go back to the 1940s or 50s!). Give me ornamentation!
