Quick Frankenstein

Still working on the household project, but did take a couple of minutes to do a Frankenstein variation.

Dweebucation

Just finished this one two minutes ago -- In the middle of a household project, and thought I'd take a break for this doodle.
I figure even a Dweeb Dad (it happens!) tries to give his kid insights into what it means to be a man. I figure in this case it would be some kind of "rites of passage" type thing along the lines of: " When a female friend, who you weren't even attracted to, tells you to not even think about being anything more than just friends, then my son, you have become a Geek MAN"

Mean Queen

This doodle made me think of one of those 50s/60s SF adventure movies where some astronauts land on a planet totally populated by women and are ruled by a cruel queen.

Scary Nerd

Again, drew this while waiting at the train station.

Mr. Crab Apple

Just started drawing an apple (or is it a cherry??), then put a face on it, and then stuck spidery legs on it. Figured he should be a rather self-conscious little mutant. I was thinking "spider apple", and then thought "hmmm -- crab apple -- there really are such things..."

Robot Freak

To prevent mass electro-psychosis in the future robot society, there will be the need to create robot freaks. Being "freaks", these unfortunate automatons will deviate from the majority of robots in form and action, thus defining what is "normal". So, this norm being established, regular robots can be satisfied that instead of being part of an undefined mass, they automatically belong the "normal" group.

That's What It Sounds Like

Sometimes when I overhear people talk about their teenage kids, it sounds like this is what they really mean:

Happy Creepy

Here's someone who looks like he's accepted being creepy, and is quite happy about it.

Just Magical

Just drew this without any kind of notion as to what it would be. Perhaps it's a couple going to some kind of Fantasy fiction convention, and the guy would rather not be there...

Mr. Worry

A couple of quick ones.
I don't really draw groups that often, so I thought practice a little with this one.
I call this one Mr. Worry

Mr. Chuckles

Again, a quick drawing while waiting for a train

Sketch Pad Feline

A rather minuscule kitty, drawn while waiting (again!) for a train

Waiting in the Waiting Room

drew this while waiting in the waiting room at the Metra station

Eye Post

Sketched this on the train. I was thinking about a commercial that played back in the late 1960s for a toy/game called Ka-Bala (the mysterious game that foretells the future) from Transogram, which had some glowing eyeball sticking up from the middle of the playing board-thing.

Unnoticed

Here we have a being from another world attempting to go unnoticed in the year 1968

Doodle Train

Drew this on a rather bumpy ride on the Metra train. Cleaned it up a bit on the computer, but left most of the scruffiness.

Doodle-A-Day

I thought for this month, I'd try posting something every day (usually some kind of doodle, I guess).
Today's offering I have entitled: Sad Little Man With A Giant Robot

Special Bonus!

Typically, I've been posting one cartoon a week, but I thought I'd post an extra one.
Thought up a cartoon, and drew this guy -- I decided to go with a different drawing for the cartoon, but liked this drawing one too, so I thought of what the guy might be say, judging from his looks...

Waste Not, Want Not

This is something I drew on a couple of Sticky-Notes (the pic on one, the dialog on another), using a burgundy colored ultra-fine marker.

Way Missed Connection

Sorry, Intense Guy reading Nietzsche on the #22 Bus, but your "Missed Connection" ad in the local alternative paper was in fact seen by that "Stunning Blonde". She will now be avoiding the #22 Bus like the plague.

Zombobot

This idea popped into my head on Monday, so thought I'd quickly scribble it out in pencil and post it before I got crazy way too elaborate ideas about it, and actually never get around to even starting it...

It's a well known fact that the modern re-animated corpse, or "zombie" possesses an insatiable hunger for human brains. Would it follow that a zombie robot would crave CPUs?

Cheer Plus

Would the existence of superheroes result in superhero cheerleaders? Would these cheerleaders themselves be "super"? A Cheerleader Plus? Why not a plus-size super-cheerleader?

Scents-Less

With so many "celebrities" putting out perfumes, colognes etc, what if "classic" popular icons got their own fragrances?

Unstormy Future

What can this be? Possibility:
It's February 8th, 1974, and spinster Gladys Windsor, wearing faded batman t-shirt, sits alone in her dark apartment contemplating what life will be like now that Secret Storm is off the air.

Freak Face Fuzz

The last week was so full of distractions (though good ones), that I had to come up with something to post rather quickly (before my self imposed Sunday Night deadline) -- I guess I just didn't have time to make sure the character was presentable...

The Strange B-Day

A week ago, I was playing a movie on the video machine when my doorbell rang. I found it was a younger member of the family next door -- he wished me a "Happy Birthday, man!" and gave me a package from a Bakery. A little surprised, I thanked him, and he went on his way. I opened the bakery box.
Inside was a colossal cupcake with green frosting and the likeness of a baked turkey on top. On the turkey in red jell were the words Happy B-Day Rod (my name being "Rob", that was a little odd...). Yes, a little puzzling, indeed.

Oh, and the cupcake was a little stale, too, but I guess it's the thought that counts.

Seven Times Seven

This being the anniversary of my birth, I'm reminded of what is rumored to be my first words at the age of 18 months (I had remained silent until then) ...
