Forgotten Future, Street Steam
What happens when the tin laughter and clanging steel applause become just lost memories on an obsolete, unreadable memory disc? In some forgotten circus tent of the future, the synthesized calliopy music drones on as IRON CLOWN, with chipped paint and rusting skin, endlessly mimes dusty vaudeville bits to the empty bleachers...

A Mug Supreme, Reverse Nostalgia
Was just hearing more stuff about executive compensation at failing banks and such, and this popped into my head:
Thought the textures in this pic would prove to be interesting
Hey, what's that lurking under the stairs?
Good gravy! It's a Commodore Business Machines PET (Personal Electronic Transactor) 2001 computer! It has an amazing 8k of RAM!
Every so often, one reads comments like "That was like what $$$$ is today", let's say if some one made $50 a week in 1948, someone would write "That's like $800 (or whatever) today!", basically pointing out how much less the dollar buys now, as opposed to then. Well, how about this -- back in 1989, I bought a 512KB RAM module for my Amiga 500 computer, and it cost something like $100; Just a couple of months ago, I bought 4GB of RAM for about $80, which would have cost $800,000 in 1989... Ponder Bobble
Just the other day, a friend of mine mentioned something called "smile detection" technology on cameras. It seems that one can set such a camera to snap a picture as soon as a smile is detected on the subject (though how this would work on Ocelots and Salamanders, let alone asparagas, is something that puzzles me... ). Of course, the first thing that came to my mind (as I'm sure it did with many of you) is: What if some madman developed nose-pick detection technology? Yet another thing to worry about in this upside-down world...

What if historic figures had lived their lives as human bobble-heads? I'm sure our history books would be pretty different -- but for better, or worse? Something to ponder, for sure.

Odd Dreams, Stalled
Hey, it's October, the Halloween season -- how about a hideous monstrosity to usher in the madness?
I like to call this piece Dreams DO Come True...

A bunch of pigeons on Wabash
Two years ago they tore down the North Shore (aka Adelphi) theater in my neighborhood. This is what we've had for the last year (Where do they put the projector?):
If they made an American version of Dr. Who, I'd guess they'd use one of those for the TARDIS...Here's a pic of my pal Pam, taken in non-optimum conditions, but it did come out rather interesting

Corporate Family, Visions Through Dirt
This bit from the Jar of Spiders shows us that Grodius Incorporated is really like one big family...

Hey, this pic is the 10,000th I've taken using my trusty Canon PowerShot A570! The following pics were taken through the smudged, scuffed, dirty and greasy window of the Union Pacific North Metra train heading into Downtown Chicago. Hmmm looks rather apocalyptic (my favorie is the last one)!

Generous Severance, Train to the Clouds
LITTLE KNOWN FACT DEPT.
Did you know that every time an Executive takes advantage of an insanely generous severance package, an angel in Money Heaven get's it's wings?
It's True. Really!
